EU Days Lund: A resilient Europe

The annual event EU Days Lund took place on 14-15 November 2023. Among other things, the Centre for European Studies, together with the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (Sieps), organised the seminar “A resilient Europe.” The panel consisted of Cecilia Malmström, Lars Danielsson, Rikard Bengtsson and was moderated by Louise Bengtsson. They discussed how, in an era of rising geopolitical tensions, the EU’s decision-making ability and cohesion are being tested. The EU’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has been characterized by unity and rapid decision-making but several challenges remain. How should the EU and its member states equip themselves to become resilient in a time characterized by great uncertainty?
