Faith and Nation: The Catholic Church in South-Eastern Europe
This lecture is the first in the lecture series "The Many Guises of European Catholicism" that the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies is organising with support from the Centre for European Studies.
The Catholic Church exists in South Eastern European societies in different forms: As a majority and as a minority, and in the Latin rite or in the Byzantine rite. The history of the single local Churches is also quite different. This lecture with Prof. Thomas Bremer will try to shed light on the state of the Catholic Church in the region today, to present its historical development and to highlight its most important patterns.
You are all very welcome to this lecture!
