An Ever Wider Union
The EU was built to grow, but how many more countries can it welcome without fundamentally changing itself? With enlargement once again at the top of Europe’s political agenda, the Union faces decisions that could reshape its borders, institutions and political identity for decades to come.
The seminar is organized by Europe Direct Lund, together with the European Parliament in Sweden, Lund University and UPF Lund, and is free and open for everyone who registers in time. We will explore the realities and challenges of EU enlargement. Our panel will discuss strategic challenges, institutional preparedness and the political and economic dynamics shaping the future of enlargement.
