The Centre for European Studies welcomes submissions for the Best Thesis Award on European matters. The award is given to a Bachelor's or Master's thesis, defended at Lund University with distinction at the Faculties of Humanities and Theology, Social Science, Law, and the School of Economics and Management during the autumn semester 2025 or spring semester 2026.

Supervisors, examiners, and heads of departments may nominate theses. Self-nominations are also accepted.

In addition to the thesis itself, the nomination shall include a short letter of recommendation, describing the strengths of the thesis. If the thesis is self-nominated, the author must submit a CV and the letter of recommendation must be written by the thesis supervisor.

Only theses defended at Lund University are eligible for nomination. The deadline for nominations is 31 August 2026

The winning thesis is chosen by a jury appointed by the Centre for European Studies. The winner is awarded 10 000 SEK. The jury may also decide to give an honourable mention to a second thesis.
