Spring semester 2018

This semester, the deadline for applications is February 16. NB! The deadline has been extended to February 23.

Students enrolled at Lund University, who are planning to write their Bachelor’s or Master’s theses during the spring semester 2018, are eligible to apply for the grants. Typically, the grants may cover for instance a flight or train ticket, and/or a few days of budget accommodation.

The application shall include:

  • A short description of the aim of the thesis, including methodology (maximum 1500 words)
  • A short motivation of the need for the grant, including a detailed budget and the total sum applied for by the student (maximum 1000 words)
  • A CV
  • A letter from the supervisor confirming the potential benefits of the trip for the thesis

When selecting among the applications, priority will be given to students who have particularly well-motivated links between their thesis aim, methodology, and stated needs of the field trip and whose thesis topics are not confined to events or phenomena within the geographical boundaries of only one state in Europe. The grant will be paid out following a successful defence of the thesis.
